about me

My name is Peter Togyi. I’m a 40-year-old self-employed language tutor and mental health support professional based in Malta, operating with full invoicing capability.

I graduated with distinction in International Relations in 2008. After completing my studies, I spent a short period living and working in Ireland, primarily to improve my language skills. Upon returning home, I began teaching languages, mainly offering corporate training and private lessons. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with professionals from renowned companies such as Randstad Hungary, Rossmann Hungary, C&A, or Continental Railway Solutions.

As a language teacher, I noticed that when my students felt safe and supported—especially in private sessions—they gradually opened up about their personal struggles, challenges, and life situations, even while speaking a foreign language. This experience sparked my interest in psychology and mental health and led me to pursue a deeper understanding of how to support others more effectively.

In 2015, I was diagnosed with a large benign tumor on my pituitary gland that required urgent surgery. This unexpected health crisis marked a turning point in my life. I faced the uncertainty of potential vision loss and other serious outcomes. Thanks to skilled medical professionals and divine providence, the surgery was a complete success, and my vision was not permanently affected. The long recovery that followed became a powerful journey of self-discovery. It gave me time to reflect on the “second chance” I had been given and solidified my desire to support others as a mental health professional.

In early 2020, I graduated with distinction from Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary as a certified mental health support professional. Since then, alongside my corporate English teaching, I have also been offering individual mental health consultations in my private practice. My mission is to support those who feel stuck, are facing challenges, or simply need someone to talk to.
